The first thing that will come to your mind while watching this movie is, “Ok, not so bad.” Those who have watched previous movies directed by Priyadarshan may probably wonder what inspired him to make such action packed dramatic flick off his type cast comedies. Selection of protagonists is ok though those accustomed to watching Bipasha as a glamorous doll will be disheartened to see her in non-glamorous role as a helpless housewife.
The movie is based on controversial incident, “Honor Killing” which rocked the entire nation because of hatred for inter-cast marriage. Based on the Hollywood movie Mississippi Burning the film is in its Indialised version absorbs audience attention for some gripping action scenes and dramatic story.
Sidhant Chaturvedi (Akshaye Khanna), the CBI officer with his counterpart and colleague Major Pratap Kumar (Ajay Devgn) are on a mission to unearth mystery behind disappearance of three medical students in Jhanjhar (Bihar)-located village. They experienced many sour outcomes during the course of their mission and learnt the severity of situation that they earlier mistook as a piece of cake. Pratap being rude and stringent by nature wants to tackle situation by his own line of attack but prohibited by Sidhant who means this mission more of his prestige issue than career‘s sake. Unperturbed by external pressures from authority in charge, the twosome finally accomplish their mission.
Some actions, some romantic scenes and severity of violence for inter-cast marriage and moderate music, all you will see in this movie. This will be one time watchable movie for you and those diehard fans of Ajay, another movie to be added to their list of favorite movies’ DVD collection.
