Blast in Chinnaswamy Stadium Just Before BRC vs MI Match

Bangalore, 17th April 2010, News are coming from Bangalore that there was a low intensity blast just before Bangalore Vs Mumbai Match. Blast took place around 3.15 PM IST and first police said that it was Generator Blast but now police confirmed that it was a low intensity Bomb.

6 policeman injured in this blast and Players of Both Mumbai and Bangalore team are called back to pavilion after the blast and just before the toss.

initial news saying that there were 2 blasts and possibly they were trying to damage Generator and targeting generator fuel to make blast bigger.

Police immediately called Dog Squad and there will be some delay for Mumbai Indians vs Bangalore Royal Challengers Match for sure.

We will update about this news as we wget some more official confirmation about this Blast.

Update 1 : 4.10 PM : Karnataka Home Minister V.S. Acharya spoken to Zee News and confirmed 2 blasts at Chinnaswamy Stadium and 4 policemen Injured in this blast.

News are also saying it was Low Intensity ID Blast.  No serious casualties in  this blast and no civilian injured in this Blast.

Update 2 4.30 Pm IST : Bombs were Country made and of low Intensity , bombs were placed in plastic bags.

Update 3 4.35 PM : Suspected material found at Anil Kumble Circle, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Most probable match will be suspended as Bangalore team is not willing to play today. ( News Not confirmed – Source India TV )

Update 4 4.45 PM IST : Finally heard some good news, match is about to start, Live Pictures coming from Stadium and both caption came out for the Toss. Match will start with 1 hr delay start and it will start at 5pM.
