Deccan Chargers Hyderabad is also called DC and is a franchise representing the beautiful city of Hyderabad and presently is the current holders of the IPL trophy. They won the second season of the IPL , the IPL 2009 held in South Africa. This was a turning point in their career as they had finished last in the opening season of IPL in 2008.
Presently the team is led by Captain Adam Gilchrist and is being coached by Darren Lehmann. Both happen to be former Australian Test and One Day cricketers. Much of the credit of their victory goes to their Captain Adam Gilchrist. Lehmann had joined the team as coach for the second season and is still the coach. The top bowlers are Fidel Edwards and RP Singh. The team has also bought the West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach at USD 720,000 at the 2010 auction.
