The plot of ‘Double Dhamaal’ resembles the plot of its forerunner ‘Dhamaal’ in a big way. The storyline of this slapstick comedy is the same – chase for money and getting involved in the weirdest of situations and with oddest of people for the same. The joint star cast of Sanjay Dutt, Jaaved Jafri, Arshad Warsi, Riteitesh Deshmukh and Ashish Chowdhury has again made the presentation of the story hilarious. While in some places, ‘Dhamaal’ seemed better for its funny moments and hilarious dialogues; in other situations ‘Double Dhamaal’ has provided double laughter riots and double humorous situations.
The foursome – Arshad Warsi, Riteitesh Deshmukh, Ashish Chowdhury and Jaaved Jafri have again shown their extreme stupidities and have led to hilarious situations with the funniest of dialogues. One person is more stupid than the other but each of the madcap thinks that he is better than the other. This leads to a random chaos.
The first half of the movie shows how these four stupid friends try and make good terms with Sanjay Dutt so that they can make some partnership with him in his firm. Their interest in not only in the money but also in Dutt’s girlfriend (Mallika Sherawat) and his sister (Kangana Ranaut). The real fun starts in the movie when Sanjay Dutt plays a trick on these fellows by selling them gutter water for oil. It is from this point that these people go against him and plan to take revenge. On the other hand, these four friends are being chased and harassed by a local goon, played by Satish Kaushik. The second half deals with all the revenge drama and the funny incidents.
To summarize, ‘Double Dhamaal’ is a full entertainment movie good for a one time watch. The music of the film is OK, nothing extra-ordinary.
