The fifth match of the ICC World Cup 2011 will be played today at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, India between England and Netherlands. England will be experimenting with their explosive batsman Kevin Pietersen as an opener in a match which is more or less called a mismatched game.
The England team has the best natural stroke player in the face of Kevin Pietersen and the capability of the South Africa-born cricketer will be on display today. There is not much to compare between the two sides. However, England is not taking the opposition team as an easy option.
The England captain Strauss said on Monday, βIt underlines the point that you can’t under-estimate sides like Holland. If we are 10 per cent off and they have a good day, we are in trouble.β
The only injury concern that is being faced by the Netherlands today is the regular skipper, Peter Borren. In case Borren does not prove fitness today, Bas Zuiderent will be swapping him as a stand-in captain.
