Facebook Chooses City Of Pearls Hyderabad for Its First Set-Up In Asia

Facebook finally announced that they are planning to open an office in Asia, India and Hyderabad has been chosen as an esteemed location. As per India Times and Business standards, the office would be operational within next two months.

This is done by the sole aim to make available 24×7 technical and customer support to the ever increasing users, advertisers and developers. This office is to supplement the operations of Facebook at Ireland (Dublin), Texas (Austin) and California (Palo Alto).

The State Information Technology and Communication Department in a press release announced that the company has already been granted authorization from the Government. They will set their office at the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Raheja Mindspace incubator of 50,000 sq ft. As per the Economic Times they will recruit 500 people and will initially invest around $150 million.
