Hai Marjawaan It`s A Wonderful Afterlife Review – Movie Torrent Download and Rating

It’s a Wonderful Afterlife, the latest offering from Gurinder Chadha, has its share of humorous lines and laughter but tends to get boring after a while. The film is about Mrs. Sethi, a widowed mother, who just wants to see her daughter getting married. When she could no longer take the humiliation, she became a serial killer by murdering the men who have refused her daughter. The victims came back as spirits to haunt Mrs. Sethi and soon a strange bond developed between the spirits and Mrs. Sethi. And together all of them set out to find the perfect match for Roopi, Mrs. Sethi’s daughter.

The film has the potential to be a strong women centric film. But it fails miserably. The script is weak but thewonder acting by Shabana Azmi as Mrs. Sethi and Goldy Notay as Roopi compensate for that. The other characters also acted powerfully making the film watchable.

The film is ok as long as it has the humorous moments going. At other times, one just has to wait for the next comic moment to come. The love story between Roopi and her perfect match is half baked. So are the murder investigations.

One expects a better film from the maker of “Bend It Like Beckham”. This movie just stresses the fact that this is the same director who made “Bride and Prejudice”.

Review as a Critic: the performances by Shabana, Sally Hawkins, Sendhill Ramamurthy and Goldy make this movie worth watching. For rest, there is not much to say.
