India vs Sri lanka Final Scorecard :- India won by 5 Wickets

7th August, Colombo, Sri Lanka : Indian Lions beaten Lankan Tigers by 5 wicket in fifth and final test of 3 Test Match Micromax Series. India needed 257 runs to win in 4th inns and which was not so easy as pitch was supporting Spinners.

The match became even more interesting when V Sehwag got out on the score of Zero, India lost 3 quick wickets on day 4 and ended with 53-3. Match was equally balanced and Sachin Tendulkar and night watchman Ishant Sharma were in the middle.

Sharma lost his wicket at early morning today and Indian score was 4 down for 62 runs. Then comes Very Very Special Laxma ( VVS Laxman ), he is known for playing inns in pressure and he did it again this time. Laxman Scored brilliant unbeaten hundred, he got Support from Tendulkar who scored 54 runs and then Suresh Raina joined the party and scor unbeaten 41 runs. Finally Indian manage to win the third test match by 5 wickets.

Indian levels the series 1-1 and maintained their no.1 ICC Test Team Rankings 2010. VVS Laxman was declared Man of the Match and Virender Sehwag got Man of the Series award.
