The ICC world cup 2011 second semi-final match between India and Pakistan which was called the ‘high-voltage competition’ ended in the same passion for both the nations. India won the match and entered the final competition against Sri Lanka. The final match will be played in Mumbai, India.

The match received an astonishing hype by media and all the people of both the countries. People from India and Pakistan remain enthusiastic till the end and no matter whichever team won, but the competition was a complete entertainer for the viewers. Indo-Pak matches hold extreme enthusiasm and a lot of pressure for both the teams, but this one was special, especially since it was a WC 2011 semi-final and the match was being played between the two nations after several long years.

The match is said to have brought the two nations together once again. Indo-Pak relations had strained after the Mumbai terror attack but this match opened hearts for both the nations. Prime Ministers of both the countries witnessed the ‘goose-bump-giving’ match together accompanied by several personalities.

The enthusiasm of the match was raised to zenith level and surprisingly a half-day national holiday was also declared in India as well as half of the Pakistan remained closed.
