IPL auction 2011 will take place today and tomorrow i.e. on 8th and 9th of January 2011 in Bangalore. There are total 416 players that will be put for the auction in true British style. The IPL 4 auction will be telecast on SET Max TV channel. You can see IPL auction 2011 live on the TV channel for the first time now.
As per the rules, every player needs to mention the reserved price. With this, the franchise owners will not be able to bid less than what the player has already reserved for themselves.

Apart from the 8 teams that had played in previous IPL seasons, there are 2 new entries in IPL 4. They are Kochi and Pune who will also be bidding for their players.
