Helicopter services have made travelling to Vaishno Devi much easier. The tiresome journey that took days to complete can now be covered in just few minutes. However, it is good to make helicopter bookings in advance to avoid any kinds of troubles at the last moment.

Online booking for helicopter services

The sacred temple of Vaishno Devi can be reached by helicopter. These services are provided by Deccan aviation and Pawan Hans. For booking helicopters for the darshan, you will need to register to the website www.maavaishnodevi.org. Registration is free of cost and you are provided with the username and password with which you can log in the website. After logging in, you can easily make helicopter bookings for Vaishno Devi darshan. You have to furnish details regarding the date of journey, the preferred route, preferable timing and the number of pilgrims to book tickets for helicopter. You have to make payments for the booking online through credit cards. To confirm the status of your ticket, you can login later and check the same.

Tariff and timings of helicopter services

The helicopter services for Vaishno Devi darshan operate from 0800hrs to 1700hrs. It is just an eight minute ride from Katra to Shanji Chat. The charges for this ride for one way come to INR 1400/- for adults and INR 610/- for children (12.5% service taxes are added on this fare). Cancellation charges are also applicable if the visitors cancel the booking. If the services are cancelled by the helipad authorities, the entire amount is refunded to the visitors.
