Muslims Celebrate Id-ul-Azha Festival, shares Bakrid Wishes

The Muslim community is seen celebrating Id-ul-Azha Festival under most religious fervor today. The festival will be celebrated all across the country with gaiety and in a spirit of loyalty. The devotees pay their religious praying for Namaaz in early morning at the mosques.

Greetings for the festival came from different political leaders including President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice President M. Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The leaders thanked and wished Muslims peace and prosperity in their respective message.

 Id-ul-Azha is the most auspicious festival celebrated by Muslim communities. Muslims, after praying for Namaaz, indulged in exchanging the festival greetings with one another by hugging them and wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’. Muslims, to mark the day more memorable, visit each other’s homes and share pleasantries, sweets and greetings. These are symbols of Muslim brethren to show solidarity, love and affection among their communities.

From the administration, there was maintained proper security arrangement in order to maintain peace and harmony.
