No Pakistani player in IPL 3, its sad but true news for all cricket lovers. Pakistani players will miss IPL season 3 as well says, Lalit Modi, IPL Chairman.
“Pakistani players will not play in Indian Premier League III as their board has faild to obtain their visas before the deadline of confirmation of participation in IPL 3 .”
Modi said “”We have been informed by PCB that they have not been able to obtain the visas as of now. So we are not being able to extend the deadline. Today is the absolute deadline for confirmation of Pakistani players (to take part in IPL). The exchange window is day after tomorrow,”
He also told in an interview with Times now News “Unfortunately, the Pakistani players are out and they will not be allowed to take part in the next IPL because we are handicapped by the fact that the exchange window is day after tomorrow. We are informing the teams that they now can go for the replacement of the Pakistani players”
This news is quite sad for cricket lovers as most of them were expecting Pakistani players specially Umar Gul and Shoaib Akhtar will be missed by Kolkata Knight Riders.
IPL season 3 will be held in between March April 2010 in different venues of India
