Melbourne: Sania Mirza and her   partner Virginia Ruano Pascual retired  out of womens doubles in the Australian Open Tennis 2010.

The duo was defeated by Alisa Kleybanova of Russia and Francesca Schivone of Italy. As for our Mirza Sania, the campaign is over as she crashed out of the singles in the first round.

Further due to a calf injury she retired from the mixed doubles too. Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupati were the defending champions in mixed doubles.

In the mean time India’s Rishika Sunkara qualified the main draw of girls’ singles on Friday.
