Dil Chahta Hai fame Sonali Kulkarni married Mr. Nachiket Pantvaidya yesterday in Sonali’s Pune house. Wedding ceremony was in a traditional Maharashtrian style and private.
Mr. Nachiket the MD Fox Studios and Sonali were dating for a long time, but it was quiet and secret only known to her very dear and near. Sonali is happy quiet and says:”Yes, it’s true and I am very happy. Nachiket wonderful person. “ This is the second marriage for Sonali, she was earlier married to Marathi play director, Chandrakant Kulkarni. For Nachiket also this is a second marriage
She has appeared in a total of 50 films from different languages, including Italian film called’fuoco Si Di Me’for which she was awarded the 2006 Milan International Film Festival. She also won the Special Jury Award (non-feature film), in 49th National Film Awards (2001) for hosting it in a short film in Marathi.
Sandesh-the famous Marathi director and brother of Sonali says , “It was a simple and traditional Maharashtrian wedding which took place at our Pune house on Monday morning. It was a very private affair with only the immediate families present.” “They knew each other for a while and took the permission of their respective families before finalising the wedding.” He added. It is also confirmed that she will continue acting .
