South Indian playback singer Swarnalatha dies of lung infection

Popular and admired South Indian singer Swarnalatha died on Sunday i.e. 12th of September in a private hospital after she was reported with lung infection. The National award winner playback singer was just 37. She had also won the National Film Award in 1995 for Best Playback Singer Female for Porale Ponnuthayi which was composed by the very famous A R Rahman for the movie Karuththamma.

Expressing great shock and grief over Swawnalatha’s unbelievable death, M G Sreekumar, the renowned music director and playback singer said that her demise is surely a big loss for the Indian music industry.
