Team India reaches no 1 spot in ICC Cricket ranking

Finally, dream of every Indian Cricket fan and Team India came true now. After continuous performing good from last one year, team India reaches no. 1 spot in ICC Cricket Team rankings.  It’s also a point to be notice that Indian caption MS Dhoni is on No. 1 spot and Yuvraj Singh on no 2 in ODI batsman list where as Gautam Gambhir is on 1^st spot in test batsman ratings.

I personally never saw team India on no. 1 spot. I wish we can retain here for long like Australia did. Now there will be more pressure on Team India to maintain its ranking as it’s not an easy Job to maintain No. 1 Position, where teams like South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan will be chasing us closely.

In Current Ranking team India have 128 Points and we are on no.1 where as South Africa is on No.2 Spot with 127 points.

Today’s match against Sri Lanka will be a crucial one as if we lose today; we will also lose our No. 1 position too. But team India looking very excited and charged up, so we can expect win today as well.

It’s also to be noticed that India is on 3^rd position in ICC test Rankings and South Africa & Sri Lanka are the teams who are above us in the rankings in Test Hope India will reach No.1 spot in Tests as well.

I personally think India Is better Test Side then ODI at the moment.

India Presently participating in Tri Series Compaq Cup with Sri Lanka and New Zealand and we are in the final by beating Kiwis yesterday.

India is in great form and these are golden days for Indian Cricket and I hope they will continue at least till world cup 2011.
