Udaipur, also known as City of Lakes, is located in the Udaipur District of Rajasthan. It was the capital of Mewar of the Rajput kingdom. Pratap Museum: It’s a Government Museum housed with old sculptures and inscriptions. Many antique paintings of Mewar and the turban of Prince Khurram or Shah Jahan have also been displayed here.
Maharana Pratap Memorial or Moti Magri: At the top of this hill is the memorial of the Rajput hero Maharana Pratap along with a bronze statue of the Maharana having his favorite horse “Chetak” by his side.
Jagdish Temple: Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 A.D. it’s an example of Indo0Aryan architecture. The temple is located in the middle of the city.
Fateh Sagar Lake: Originally built by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678 A.D. this lake is located in the north of Lake Picholas.
Nehru Garden: Parked in the middle of the FAteh Sager Lake this park overlooks the ancient Moti Mahal and gives a view of Aravalli hills too.
Gulab Bagh & Zoo: It’s a rose garden laid out by Maharaja Sajjan Singh and is situated near the palace on the east side of Lake Pichhola.
Doodh Talai: It happens to be a rock garden from where one can enjoy the sunset view and a panoramic view of the old city.
Shilpgram: It’s a crafts village located in the northwest of Udaipur. An annual crafts fair is held here every year
